What a trip! Wayne and I had a great diving experience in Indonesia (our third trip there!), but this was an unusual adventure for me. I injured myself in the Hong Kong airport (don’t ask) on the WAY to our 10-day diving getaway. So I was dealing with a deep gash on my knee, which I later found out had burst the bursa sack. I kept it packed with antibacterial cream, but on our last day my whole leg enlarged with infection, which later became systemic. New travel turf for me included health clinics in Manado, Indonesia and Singapore and seeing things from the perspective of a wheelchair-bound traveler. Glad that’s over! I am back to 97% (still dealing with the bursa issue), but I can do almost everything like normal now.

Thanks for checking in with me. My husband and I are heading to Indonesia for some scuba diving and photography. We’ll be diving at Bunaken and the Lembeh Straits and visiting northern Sulawesi as well as Singapore. I hope to check my email occassionally at internet cafes, but won’t be traveling with my laptop.
